Abstract

|
Posterior tibialis tendon plays an essential function in a soccer player. Even though posterior tibialis tendon insufficiency results from multiple factors, the tendon rupture associated with steroid injection has not been reported yet. We present a case of steroid associated posterior tibialis tendon rupture in a soccer player treated with flexor digitorum longus tendon transfer. The patient is playing as a college soccer player(best 11) 2.5 years after surgery.
